Dog Show Planned in Support of the Belleville Public Library Building Fund

October 12, 2017

This first-year event will bring together our love of dogs and libraries into one special and lively afternoon. The Friends of the Belleville Public Library and the Library Fundraising Committee are excited to host what we hope will become an annual event.

The Howl at the Moon Dog Show will be held during UFO Day on Saturday, October 28, at the Library Park in Belleville, starting at 3:00 p.m.

We are planning four contests during this event: a costume contest, stupid pet tricks, dog and owner look-a-like contest, and dog races. The cost for each contest will be $5.00 per dog. Dogs may be entered into more than one contest. We will have celebrity judges on hand and prizes for the winners.

The committee wants to host a fun-filled event that will raise money for the library. We don’t want this to be a serious and staid affair. We want dog lovers to come, show off their pets, and have a great time doing it.

Entry forms for the event can be found in your local paper, at the Belleville Public Library, the library’s web site, and on the Friends of the Belleville Public Library’s Facebook page. For questions, please contact the Belleville Public Library at (608) 424-1812.
