New Glarus junior Jaden Kreklow scored his 1,000th career point during the game at Wisconsin Heights on January 30th.

The New Glarus boys basketball team played at Wisconsin Heights on January 30th. The Knights were ahead of the Vanguards by 20 points at the half, who are second in the conference, and pulled out the 91-83 win after a tough second half.

"That was a nice win tonight over a good Wisconsin Heights team.  Made it extra special to see Jaden score his 1,000th point," said Coach Travis Sysko. "Jaden has put in a lot of time working on his game, so to see him reach that accomplishment was great."

Senior Cullen Brooks, who was 8-10 from the free throw line, poured in 28 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.  Zach Feller scored 19 points, four of those being 3-pointers, Jaden Kreklow scored 14 points, and Trevor Gassman scored 10 points and was 2-2 from the free throw line.

On February 2nd, the Knights traveled to Waterloo. After taking a commanding 21-point lead at the half, victory was never a doubt for New Glarus as they steamrolled the home team, 93-61.

Leading the team with 25 points was Jaden Kreklow, who was 7-8 from the free throw line. Zach Feller scored 17 points, Trevor Gassman put 16 points on the board and Cullen Brooks, 2-3 from the line, scored 10 points.

The team headed to Darlington on February 6th, and will play a home game against Marshall on February 8th before hitting the road to Cambridge on February 13th.
