New Glarus Bakery Wins Several Awards at Expo

Angela Neff, owner of the New Glarus Bakery, is shown here with the awards the Bakery recently won at the 2018 Midwest Foodservice Expo. The Bakery won Wisconsin's Best Long John for their Custard-Filled Long John, Turtle Style, first place Bismarck for their Mocha Cream-Filled donut and second place Bismarck with their Cheese-Filled Donut.

The New Glarus Bakery was one of the over 80 beginners and professionals representing 37 bakeries and schools from around the state of Wisconsin and upper Illinois in the 2018 Midwest Foodservice Expo, hosted by the Wisconsin Bakers Association in partnership with the Wisconsin Restaurant Association, which was held in Milwaukee.

The competitions included Extreme Wedding Cake Challenge (Fondant and Non-Fondant), Extreme Groom's Cake Challenge, Creative Cake Decorating Competition, Wisconsin's Ultimate Donut Duel, The Art of the Bread Contest, Dessert Display Table Competition and, new in...
