Registration Deadline for 4-H Day Camp Approaching

July 19, 2018

The 2018 4-H Day Camp will take place at the Green County Fairgrounds, 2600 Tenth Street, Monroe, on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and is led by Green County UW-Extension 4-H Youth Development staff.  The event is for any youth going into 1st-3rd grade (2018-2019 school year), and they do not have to be a member of 4-H to participate.

Campers will experience a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities related to nature, art, science and recreation. Some encourage individual exploration while others provide teamwork. There are quiet times and noisy times. There are many opportunities for new friendships and to belong to a group, as well as to develop new skills and interests. Weather permitting, the staff will take campers for a two-block walk down to East School Park for additional outdoor fun. A picnic lunch, plus an afternoon snack will be provided. A health coordinator who is trained in first aid and CPR will be on duty at all times to handle minor health and safety needs. Campers are covered by 4-H accident insurance.

You may register your child here:  https://bit.ly/2x1Js4m.

The cost is $10.00 per youth (cash or check), due to the UW-Extension office by August 1, 2018. Checks can be made out to “Green County 4-H Adult Leaders” and mailed or dropped off at the Green County UW-Extension Office, 2841 6th Street, Monroe, WI 53566. Financial Assistance is available should the cost be a barrier for participation. Please contact the UW-Extension office at (608) 328-9440 for information. Space is limited to the first 48 participants to register AND pay.

All activities are supervised by UW-Extension staff, adult 4-H volunteers and older youth volunteer staff. All of the adult volunteers are enrolled 4-H volunteers and have completed youth protection training and background checks. We have a maximum ratio of ten youth to every one adult.

In the operation of this camp program, no child, as defined by the program regulations, will be discriminated against because of race, sex, color, national origin, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
