Monticello Homecoming

Monticello Community Club would like to welcome you to our annual celebration in Monticello, beginning with softball on Thursday, July 9, and continuing throughout the weekend. We have many activities that you are welcome to come and watch, and even participate in! Again this year, we have a carnival for the kids – the same carnival as last year, expanded a bit. Wristband times are Thursday night from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., and again Sunday afternoon from Noon until 4:00 p.m.

Monticello FFA Members Complete Community Projects

Over the past month of school, several Monticello FFA members became involved with construction/remodeling projects that helped out their area communities. Both Monticello and Monroe benefitted from these various projects, including the remodeling of a baseball shed in Monticello and a playground at Monroe.

Madison Area Sports Commission: 2015 Youth Grant Applications

The Madison Area Sports Commission (MASC) is pleased to announce the next cycles of youth grant opportunities are now available for consideration. Youth grant funds are allocated to established organizations that introduce Dane County youth to the lifelong enjoyment and health benefits of sports.
Individuals and groups may be able to apply for grant consideration from now through July 22, 2015.

Cops N' Bobbers Event Saturday

Looking for something fun to do this weekend with your children? The Belleville Police Department and Wisconsin DNR will be holding a Cops N’ Bobbers event on Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at the Belleville Community Park, Shelter 1, 10 Bross Circle.
Ages fourth grade through eighth grade can participate in Fishing with a Buddy, and children 4th grade and younger can participate in Fish Pond and Coloring.
Lunch will be provided by UW Health Belleville Family Medicine.

Main Street Construction

Construction has ramped up during the month of June on Main Street in Belleville with the sidewalk being replaced, and the existing trees along the street will be removed and replaced with smaller, attractive trees more fit for a downtown environment. The project is slated to end in July 2015.
