The colors have been quite stunning! The fields are being cleared off as they are combining soybeans and cutting the corn! Deer traffic has picked up, but that has not stopped us from driving and working on the last of the changes for the clues!

Belleville Bobcats Wreath Fundraiser

The 24th annual Belleville Bobcat Football wreath sale is underway! Your purchase of a wreath will help support the Bobcat Youth Football program. The funds raised in past years have helped keep the equipment up to date, pay for game day officials, assure field maintenance, and have allowed us to keep the cost per player at a reasonable rate.

The Green County Health Department will be offering free flu shots to kids on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
<strong>All children of Green County ages 6 months through 18 years old are eligible.</strong> This clinic will be held at the Green County Health Department, Pleasant View Complex, N3150 Highway 81, Monroe, WI.

Harvest Fest A Success

Dear Editor,
On Sunday, October 9th, our New Glarus Historical Society hosted Harvest Fest at the Swiss Historical Village & Museum. Harvest Fest is an annual celebration of old world traditions set amidst buildings that showcase the history of New Glarus. Nearly 500 adults and children joined us this year.
Many thanks to all the artisans and volunteers who made Harvest Fest such a success. Special thanks to the New Glarus Brewing Company for their generous financial donation, which allowed us to extend our marketing efforts this year.

Rosemary A. Zellmer (nee Ladwig), formerly of Greenfield and most recently of New Glarus, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016, age 81 years.
Beloved wife of the late Donald A. Zellmer. Dear mother of Suzanne (Walter) Simonz, Sharon Zellmer and Sandra (Sean) Fallon. Loving granny of Rebecca (Stephen) Tobin, Kelly (Todd) Burchell, Kristen (Brandon Collins), Jennifer and Patrick Fallon. Loving great granny of twins Emmett and Olivia Burchell. Aunt of Dale (Terre) Szortyka and Debra (Dale) Jurkiewicz. Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Claude I. Judd, age 92 of Presque Isle, WI, died on Monday, October 17, 2016, at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI. Claude was born on August 28, 1924, in Weston, WI, the son of Floyd and Bertha (nee Dunbar) Judd.
Claude loved spending time with his family, fishing and watching his birds.

HEIDE R. WALKER HACKMAN

Rev. Heide R. Walker Hackman, age 47 of Belleville, died on Friday, October 14, 2016, at Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born on July 29, 1969, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the daughter of Wayne and Alberta (Morse) Walker.
Heide graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1987, U.W. Wyoming with a B.A. degree in History in 1992, and a Master of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary in 1995.
Heide and Todd Hackman were united in marriage on August 12, 1995, at First Congregational Church in Fort Atkinson.

Fall Color Cruise Raises Money for Monticello Fire Department's TJ Disch Scholarship Fund

On Saturday, October 15, 2016, the Fall Color Car Cruise in memory of TJ Disch took place, starting out at the Monticello Fire Department. Participants could enjoy the fall colors and have a great time while raising money for Monticello Fire Department's TJ Disch Scholarship Fund. This year approximately $3,500 was raised by the Fall Color Cruise.

A Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians - A Renaissance Faire

A Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians - A Renaissance Faire was held at the Wilhelm Tell Grounds on Saturday and Sunday.
The Faire had lots of great family friendly activities and it was highly entertaining just to people watch. In addition, there were over 50 creative artisans and merchants.
