New Glarus Police Department Welcomes New Officer

New Glarus Police Chief Burt Boldebuck shakes hands with Officer Daniel Kurth. The New Glarus Village Board approved the hiring of Kurth at their April 4, 2018, Village Board Meeting. Boldebuck told the board that Kurth's previous experience includes the Department of Corrections Oakhill Correctional Facility and security with American Family Insurance.

Blood Drive to be Held at New Glarus Brewing Company

Many people want to give back to the community but may not have a lot of time to volunteer. In only about an hour, volunteer blood donors can help save lives and feel instant gratification.
The community is invited to give back and help save lives by donating blood on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the New Glarus Brewing Company, 2400 State Road 69, New Glarus.

New Glarus High School Class of 2018 Looking for Volunteer Opportunities

New Glarus High School students will be giving back to the community by volunteering to help community members on the morning of Friday, May 4th. The Class of 2018 is looking to help senior citizens, businesses and other community members who are in need of some volunteer labor.

New Glarus Post Prom

This year we are planning a Post Prom trip to the newly opened Dave & Busters. The Post Prom Party will begin at 11:30 p.m., loading the buses for the trip and returning to New Glarus and be finished at 4:30 a.m., following Prom on May 5th.
Students that are interested should sign-up in the High School office. Prizes include choice of an iPad, laptop computer, TV and many other wonderful prizes.

Students Visit New Glarus as Part of GAPP (German American Partnership Program)

It's that time of year again! Twelve students from our partner school in Bad Arolsen, Germany, were here in New Glarus from March 18th to March 29th. Students visited the Capitol, House on the Rock, Sugar River Pizza, Shedd Aquarium, Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and Hancock Tower.

Village of Monticello Spring Clean Up Day

<strong>All Items Must be Separated/Sorted and Curbside By 7:00 a.m., on Monday, April 16, 2018.</strong>
All debris, excluding brush, must be in an area not larger than 4’wide x 10’ long x 4’ high.
Items accepted are: Furniture and miscellaneous junk, burn barrels to be discarded must be empty, brush and scrap lumber with no tree limbs over 6” in diameter or 8’ in length – in separate pile stacked parallel with street, paint cans must be empty, or open with paint completely dried.

Monticello High School Post Prom 2018

The Monticello High School Post Prom Planning Committee is in the process of planning the 2018 Post Prom Party. This year the party, to be held following the Junior Prom on Saturday, April 21, 2018, will be held at the Monticello High School.
The students will be spending the night enjoying pizza, soda and a variety of activities, including a swimming, basketball and games at the Green County YMCA. The committee is dependent upon donations to help with providing a fun event and to keep our students safe during prom night.
