New Glarus Area Emergency Medical Services (NGAEMS) is planning its annual “Keeping the Pulse” run/walk for Saturday, June 9th. This is an important annual fundraiser to support the work of EMS, and every dollar raised goes to support the ambulance service and the equipment it needs to provide around the clock care, 365 days of the year.

Many people want to give back to the community but may not have a lot of time to volunteer. In only about an hour, volunteer blood donors can help save lives and feel instant gratification.
The community is invited to give back and help save lives by donating blood on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the New Glarus High School, 1701 2nd Street, New Glarus.

The New Glarus Lions Club will hold their annual Chicken Barbecue at the Village Park on Friday, May 25, 2018, serving from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit local scholarships and other community projects. Enjoy music by Larry Daehn while you eat.
Adult tickets (over age 12) are $10.00, children 6-12 eat for $5.00 and ages 5 and under eat for free. On the menu is delicious Chicken, Potato Salad, Coleslaw, Roll and Milk.
There will be a raffle drawing at 7:30 p.m. First prize is a stay at the Chalet Landhaus, second prize is $100 and third prize is $50.
