2018-2019 Belleville Dairy Queen Crowned

Brenna Meier, 16, was crowned the 2018-2019 Belleville Dairy Queen on Tuesday evening in Library Park. Musical entertainment at the crowning was provided by Rusty Hearts. Food and pie were served by the Belleville Busy Beavers 4-H Club.

<strong>Iowa State University Announces Spring 2018 Dean’s List </strong>
Approximately 9,196 Iowa State University students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the spring semester 2018 Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean’s List must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale, while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.

Legion Appreciates Support During Poppy Sales

Green County Dairy Days in Monticello

Monticello has been chosen as the site of the 2018 Green County Dairy Days, held this year on Saturday, June 23rd.
The day begins with Moo-Tails at the Monticello School at 10:00 a.m., followed by The Big Question at 11:00 a.m., and the Queen’s Brunch at 11:30 a.m. The crowning of the new Green County Dairy Queen and Green County Dairy Princess will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Main Street.

Washington Center 4-H Club Update

Over the past few months, Washington Center 4-H club has had a very busy schedule. In January, the club had our annual potluck. During the potluck, the members played a game of bingo to win prizes that families had brought in.
In February, we went to Rockin' Jump in Madison.
In the months March and April, we were making tie blankets for the American Family Children's Hospital.
In May, we made table centerpieces for the Green County Breakfast on the Farm, hosted by the Karlen family in Monticello.
