American Cancer Society to Paint Green County Purple for Relay For Life

The American Cancer Society is seeking businesses and organizations to get involved in the Relay For Life movement by displaying purple ribbons and other decorations from June 16 – 23, 2018. “Paint Our Town Purple” is a time to celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, and to have some fun with the color purple to bring attention to the American Cancer Society’s many programs and services in our community. Purple is the signature color of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life program, which represents all cancers.

Pink Cadillac Ladies Fundraiser

The Pink Cadillac Ladies are fundraising for the Relay For Life team.
The American Cancer Society has several Relay For Life events in the area throughout the year, and the Pink Cadillac Ladies team will be walking on Friday, July 20, in Mount Horeb.
The team is walking to honor all cancer survivors and those who have lost their battle because everyone’s life has been touched by this horrible disease.
Additionally, the team will walk in honor of two local ladies who are battling, Kelly Pankratz and Renee Funseth.

Free Fishing Adventure

Looking for something fun to do with your children? The New Glarus FFA Alumni and Wisconsin DNR will be holding its second annual <strong>F</strong>ree <strong>F</strong>ishing <strong>A</strong>dventure on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 9:00 a.m.- Noon, at Hoesly Pond at the intersection of Hwy 69 and Hwy W.
Children of all ages can participate in Fishing with a Parent. Bring your own gear; some gear will be available to use and bait will be provided.
Lunch will be provided by New Glarus FFA Alumni.

Dairy Days Public Notice 

The Monticello Police Department would like to invite everyone to attend Dairy Days on June 23, 2018. We hope everyone will take the time to enjoy this wonderful family event.
Alcohol will only be permitted downtown from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., for the antique tractor pull. We would like to remind everyone: all alcoholic beverages must be consumed within the closed street area. Those found to be consuming or possession of open alcohol outside of those areas will be cited for the violation, and the forfeiture is $200.50 per offense.

Operation Stuff the Squad

On Saturday, June 23, 2018, the Monticello Police Department will have a squad car onsite at Dairy Days from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please bring non-perishable food items and stuff the squad car! The food is being donated to Green Cares Food Pantry of Monticello.
