NGM Falls Short in Home Opener

Friday, August 24th, capped a week that will no doubt be remembered by NGM football fans for its flood and storm...and the weather was not very good either. Lake Mills, a team from the Capitol Conference North Division, came to town with a chip on its shoulder, having been soundly beaten the week before. They must have spent an inordinate amount of time in the film room as they scouted us thoroughly, with emphasis on shutting down our offensive game. Accordingly they were rewarded with a 35-0 victory at our expense.

Annual Book Sale

Only a few days until we can stock up on our own reading material at way, way below bargain prices over at the Friends of the New Glarus Library’s book sale on September 2nd. I don’t know whether to buy a sturdy Friends book bag for $20.00 that lets me fill it up with books too, or just browse the hundreds of books to select some for the entire family.
Ooh, look at all those DVDs and music CDs! I might throw a few of those in the bag.
