Think of a spark plug as a tiny bolt of lightning. Small but mighty, the spark of electricity that the plug emits across a small gap creates the ignition for the combustion needed to start your car. By putting the engine’s pistons in motion, your car can power up and stay powered up.
World-renowned futurist Rebecca Ryan is the mighty spark you need to put your organization in motion and be ready for the future!

New Glarus Blood Drive a Great Success

Dear New Glarus and Area Residents,
Thank you for stepping up to make our Friday, August 3rd Blood Drive a great success.
The Charge Nurse was delighted with the fact that we had the lowest deferral rate ever! Only three were deferred this time for a later day instead of our normal 8 to 12! This was awesome news for me to hear. Thank you all for hydrating and eating well in preparation for donating.

Edelweiss Chalet Country Club Celebrates 50 years

Edelweiss Chalet Country Club is celebrating an important milestone. In 1968, the golf course opened to the public for the first time. At that time, it was a 9-hole course. According to John Thompson, the golf course came about after a group got together and decided that New Glarus needed a recreation facility to enhance the quality of life for area residents, as well as bring in visitors. Over 200 people donated $100 each to make the course possible. He also noted that some of the original donors were not golfers, just people who interested in improving the area.
