Members of the Green County Farm Bureau will hold their annual meeting on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at PepperCorn Banquets and Catering in Monroe. The meal is at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
All Farm Bureau members are encouraged to attend this important meeting to help create policy resolutions and vote in elections for county board directors. The county’s voting delegates also will be selected for the WFBF Annual Meeting in Wisconsin Dells, December 1-3, 2018.

The Green County Alzheimer’s Walk is hosting a silent auction to raise money to support valuable local programs and services provided by the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin (ADAW). The silent auction will be set up and available for bidding on Friday, September 7th, from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., and again on Saturday, September 8th, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. The walk and the auction will take place at the Behring Senior Center, 1113 10th Street, Monroe, WI.

Several members of the New Glarus High School Class of 2018 were presented with scholarships from the New Glarus Youth Committee during the August Youth Committee meetings. The recipients are Elizabeth Woerpel attending Gustavos Adolphus, Caitlin Wieser attending UW-Milwaukee, Willow Lee attending UW-Madison, Jared Carney attending UW-Platteville, and Noah Zimmerman attending University of Dubuque, Josiah Tetner attending UW-Whitewater and Andrew Nimtz attending UW-Platteville.
