Monticello Fall Clean Up to be Held

All items for Monticello’s Fall Clean Up must be separated/sorted and curbside by 7:00 a.m., Monday, October 15, 2018.
<strong>Refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, air conditioners and anything containing Freon must have the Freon removed by a licensed person and a certified statement needs to be received by the village clerk by Monday, October 8, 2018. </strong>
All debris, excluding brush, must be in an area not larger than four feet wide by ten feet long by four feet high.

Changes in Store for Monticello Public Library

The Monticello Public Library is preparing for the future with some big changes by 2019, and indeed, several changes have already taken place.
To consider the myriad options and directions available, library board members met with Monticello’s new Library Director, Katrina Linde-Moriarty, and Wisconsin South Central Library System (SCLS) Director Martha Van Pelt and Consulting Services Coordinator Mark Ibach on September 11th.

Green Cares Food Pantry Fundraiser at Hawk's Mill Winery

Green Cares Food Pantry is holding its second annual fundraiser, “Sip, Savor, and Support” the Green Cares Food Pantry on Sunday, September 30th, from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., at Hawk’s Mill Winery. Tickets to the event are $35/each, and when buying three tickets, you get the fourth one free. Tickets can be purchased online at https://greencaresfoodpantry.weebly.com/ and can also be purchased at the event.

35th Annual Native American Indian Artifact Show

The Badger State Archaeological Society will hold its 35th Annual Native American Indian Artifact Show on Sunday, October 21st. The event will be held at the Rehmstedt gym in Monticello School, 334 South Main Street, Monticello, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost of admission is $2.00 for 14 years and older.

Second Annual Howl at the Moon Dog Show Planned

We had such great time last year that we are doing it again. We are excited to host our second annual dog show to celebrate our love of dogs!
The Howl at the Moon Dog Show will be held during UFO Day on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at the Library Park in Belleville, with registration starting at 9:30 a.m. and the contests getting underway by 10:00 a.m.

Veterans Memorial Park Dedication

The dedication for the Belleville Veterans Memorial Park will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The dedication will be held at 21 River Street, Belleville, bring lawn chairs if you wish. It is sponsored by the Duppler-Smith American Legion Post 460.

St. Francis to Hold Annual Dinner

St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Belleville, is hosting its annual church dinner on Sunday, October 7, 2018, in the St. Mary of Lourdes Church Hall located at 227 Frederick Street. Carry out orders and drive through pick up will be available at the St. Francis of Assisi Church, located at 338 S. Harrison Street.
The dinner, which is all you can eat served family style, features Roast Pork, Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Applesauce, Coleslaw, Dinner Rolls and Homemade Pies. Serving time is from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Primrose Lutheran Church Annual Fall Supper

All are welcome at the Primrose Lutheran Church Annual Fall Supper which will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, serving from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The menu includes Ham, Veal Balls, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Corn, Cranberry Relish, Lefse, Rolls, Cheese, Norwegian Baked Goodies, Pie and Beverage.
The cost for adults is $12.00; children 6-10, $5.00; and children 5 and under eat free. Carryouts are available for $12.00.
