Emergency responders are neighbors and friends. Sometimes they’re even volunteers. They provide medical care, fight fires and protect our communities because they care.
Hometown Safety Grants from the Alliant Energy Foundation are our way of showing support. These grants fund specific tools and projects to help first responders do their jobs even better. That includes defibrillators in public buildings, personal protective equipment for police and more.

The New Glarus American Legion will be holding their annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the American Legion building, located at the corner of 2nd Street and 12th Avenue.
All Legion and Auxiliary members, along with their spouses, are invited. Carry out and delivery is available.
Social Hour will be from 5:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Guests will be introduced between 5:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. We will eat at 6:00 p.m. The Legion Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m.

Paul Fredrickson of Mosher & Associates Insurance Services donated to the New Glarus Area EMS in recognition of The New Glarus State Bank/Sugar River Bank branches 125th anniversary celebration. Mosher & Associates donated $1.00 for each year of service, which was matched by Chubb Insurance for a total of $250.

Hello! My name is Sarah Blumer, and I am the 2018-2019 Monticello Dairy Queen. My parents are Ron and Jen Blumer.
With the holiday season approaching, I would like to share some ideas on how you can incorporate dairy products in your favorite festivities, celebrations, and family gatherings.
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it gives me an opportunity to reflect on the blessings in my life and to give thanks for my family, friends, and the harvest. This year I am especially thankful for the privilege of serving as Monticello's Dairy Queen.
