BARBARA M. CRAPP

Barbara M. Crapp, age 95 of New Glarus, formerly of Linden, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Monroe Clinic Hospital following a brief illness. Barbara was born on September 9, 1923, in Linden Township to John and Gladys (Rule) Harker.
She married John C. Crapp of Linden on February 14, 1947. The couple lived in Linden, Mount Horeb and Lake Mills before settling in New Glarus in 1965. Barbara taught 4th and 5th grade in Mount Horeb and Lake Mills and retired from New Glarus after over twenty years of teaching.
John preceded her in death on September 6, 1994.

ALICE M. GAFKE

Alice M. Gafke, age 76 of Belleville, passed away on November 25, 2018, from Sjogren's, which led to her Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born on August 14, 1942, in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Fred and Hilda Goad.
She married Howard Gafke on July 2, 1960, in Madison.

DAVID F. TRUMPY

David F. Trumpy, age 64 of Monticello, died Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. David was born on June 30, 1954, in Monroe, the son of Floyd and Elaine (Zoller) Trumpy.
He graduated from Monticello High School in 1973. David farmed on the Trumpy home farm east of Monticello for several years and later in life found his calling in the cheesemaking business.

Thanksgiving Traditions

While families got together to celebrate Thanksgiving last week, our family at New Glarus Area EMS was joined by law enforcement for a holiday feast. Like any other family, the New Glarus Area EMS welcomes new members who share in the values of teamwork and togetherness while helping people and saving lives. Chief Kristie Mueller said that the Thanksgiving dinner has become a tradition, allowing those who had to work or were on-call to enjoy the holiday.
