A Note From The New Glarus Police Dept.

Alternate side winter parking begins November 15, 2018, and ends March 31, 2019. This requires anyone parking a vehicle on a village street to park on the even side of the street on even days and on the odd side of the street on odd days, which is enforced between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. This means you should park on the side of the street where houses have even numbers on the even days and vice versa.

Monticello Christmas Stocking Fund

As the holidays approach, we want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has so generously supported Monticello’s Christmas Stocking Fund throughout the year. We are thankful that the organizers of the Homecoming motorcycle ride donated the proceeds from the event to the Christmas Stocking Fund. In addition, we are grateful to Wade Wittenwyler and everyone who helped with the Christmas Stocking Fund benefit held in September. The Christmas Stocking Fund is also fortunate to have received many individual monetary gifts and donations throughout the year.

Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa will make his annual pre-Christmas visit to Monticello on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at the Monticello Fire Station. While Santa greets the children there and hears their wishes for Christmas, his elves are working hard to set up a special shop for the children to buy gifts for their family members. Santa’s Workshop increases in popularity each year, and this year looks to be every bit as exciting and well-attended, but it can’t happen without your help.
