The New Glarus Fire District was awarded a grant of $2,800.00 to purchase fire fighting nozzles from the Compeer Financial Emergency Response Equipment Grant Program. The grant provided the NGFD the ability to replace obsolete and worn out nozzles with new equipment that allows for more efficient fire-fighting operations.

On Tuesday, November 13, 2018, the Stuessy-Kuenzi American Legion Post #141 held their annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Before the dinner, representatives from the Sugar River Quilts of Valor Foundation held a ceremony presenting quilts to five local veterans.

November is National Family Caregiver Month, a time to recognize and thank the many hard working and devoted people who make it their mission to keep a loved one happy and safe. You work hard and deserve to be recognized and celebrated!

The Swiss Church will hold it’s annual Cookie Sale on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall. There is always a delicious variety of candies, cookies, breads and bratzeli available for purchase. Items will be sold by the pound.

The handicapped accessible entrance is located on the north side of the church (4th Avenue). To get to Fellowship Hall, use the lower outside entrance, and take the elevator up one floor.
