<strong>Gerner Awarded Scholarship</strong>
<strong>Toni Gerner</strong>, Belleville, who is studying music at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is among this year’s scholarship recipients from the College of Arts and Communication. Gerner won the following scholarship: Gala Concert Scholarship. These awards are established through the efforts of students, faculty, family and friends of the Department of Music and are awarded to exemplary music students.

RONALD P. PRESCOTT

Ronald P. Prescott, age 82 of Belleville, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, surrounded by his two daughters at his home. He was born on September 26, 1936, the son of Earl and Dorothy Wilhelmsen Prescott.
Ronald was a sheetmetal worker and farmer. He was a member of AMPI and the Sheetmetal Workers Union.
Survivors include his family, Robert (Angela) Prescott of Kentucky, Kim (Patrick) Cockroft, Sherry (Ron) McMullan, Shane (Jessica) Prescott; grandchildren, William “Peeper”, Kelly, Pricilla, Trisha, Brian, Caleb, Patrick and Ralee; and great-grandchildren.

ROGER L. BUESSER

Roger L. Buesser, age 80 of New Glarus, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018, at UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on December 27, 1937, in Monroe to his parents, Alois and Louisa (Marty) Buesser.

Lunch with Santa Sponsored by the New Glarus Youth Committee

On Saturday, December 8th, the New Glarus Youth Committee held the annual Lunch with Santa event at the New Glarus Elementary School.
Families could enjoy lunch, a Home Depot children's workshop, crafts, a photo with Santa courtesy of Eichelkraut Photography, and receive a goody bag.

Green County Market Steer/Market Heifer Weigh-In

The annual Green County Market Steer/Heifer Weigh-In will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Equity Livestock, located south of Monroe at N1365 State Road 69, from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. In case of inclement weather, the snow date will be Saturday, January 5th. An announcement will be made over WBGR radio prior to 8:00 a.m. on the morning of December 29th if the weigh-in will be re-scheduled due to inclement weather.

Green County Humane Society to Hold Holiday Open House

Community members are invited to enjoy seasonal festivities, take a photo with Santa Claus and tour the animal shelter facility during the Green County Humane Society’s Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 15.
The Open House is planned from Noon until 5:00 p.m. Santa will visit from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and a professional photographer will be on hand to capture the perfect holiday portrait of your or your pet. (A donation of $10 for the digital image is suggested.)
