Knights Defeat Brodhead/Juda

The New Glarus baseball team, who is seeded #6 for post-season play, defeated the #3 seeded team, Brodhead/Juda, on May 23rd, 13-8 in extra innings.
The teams were tied at the bottom of the 1st and Brodhead/Juda inched ahead by 1 run by the 5th inning. The Knights tied it up in the 6th and it stayed that way until the 11th inning when New Glarus sent 6 runners home to win it.

Four Pony Track Team Athletes Qualify for State

The Monticello Ponies track team competed at the WIAA D3 Regional at Darlington on May 20th. The men's team finished in 10th place while the women's team finished in 9th place.

Raider Girls Soccer Wins Conference Championship

Week 11 of Raider girls soccer action concluded this past week with a big high in claiming their third straight Capitol Conference championship, shutting out Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld co-op 2-0!

Free Art Camp in New Glarus

The summer can be a long one for some kids. To kick off the summer break, Green County kids are invited to participate in Art Camp: Room ReDo Edition.
The four-day evening event, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., on June 10-13, is being hosted at Swiss Church in New Glarus. With art activities for kids from 5-12 years old, the free Art Camp will include two- and three-dimensional art projects to spruce up the rooms of participants.

Subscribers – if you are planning a move, or have already moved, you need to submit a change of address to us. Changing your address with the US Post Office does not change it on your newspaper (or utility bills, or magazines).

Area Children Invited to Join New Glarus Kinderchor

Kinderchor rehearsals begin on Monday, June 3, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., at the New Glarus Home Campus. We meet outside under the shelter near the Multi-Purpose Room and Chapel. Enrollment fee is $15.00 per member. Children ages 5 and up are welcome to participate. Sign up at rehearsal.

Polkafest and Beer, Bacon and Cheese will draw visitors to downtown New Glarus from Thursday, June 6th through Sunday, June 9th.

Free Fishing Adventure

Looking for something fun to do with your children? The New Glarus FFA Alumni and Wisconsin DNR will be holding its second annual <strong>F</strong>ree <strong>F</strong>ishing <strong>A</strong>dventure on Saturday, June 1, 2019, from 9:00 a.m.- Noon, at Hoesly Pond at the intersection of Hwy 69 and Hwy W.
Children of all ages can participate in Fishing with a Parent. Bring your own gear, or some gear will be available to use and bait will be provided.
Lunch will be provided by the New Glarus FFA Alumni.
