Road Closures for Blues, Brews & Food Trucks

Road closures for Blues, Brews & Food Trucks in New Glarus will begin the evening of Friday, June 28th or early morning on Saturday, and end on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Noon, after tear-down.
The following streets will be closed: 4th Avenue between Railroad Street and 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue between Railroad Street and 2nd Street.
3rd Avenue (other than parking stalls) will reopen on Saturday, June 29th at 10:00 p.m.
4th Avenue will reopen by Noon on Sunday, June 30th.

Hello, my name is Rylee Disch, I am the 2019-2020 Monticello Dairy Queen. I am the daughter of Ryan and Courtney Disch. I have two brothers, Cory and Ryder. In the fall I will be a junior at Monticello High School. I have been a member of the Monticello FFA since 7th grade. I was elected to serve as the Parliamentarian for the 2019-2020 school year. I am also a member of the Police Explorers program. Since November 2018, I have been a part of the McFarland Police Explorers post.

Wags 'n Wheels Poker Run

Two wheels or four, all are welcome to join the Wags ’n Wheels Poker Run on Saturday, July 6, 2019, to benefit the Green County Humane Society.
Vehicles will depart at 11:00 a.m., from the Junction House north of Monroe, to travel the scenic countryside through Green, Lafayette, Iowa and Dane counties, making five stops along the way to collect playing cards in a quest to create a winning poker hand. Each stop will also include raffles, prizes and other fun.

Single Oak Farm Country Garden Stroll

The Single Oak Farm Country Garden Stroll will be Sunday, June 30, 2019, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. Come and enjoy an afternoon at a country garden with bars and cookies and beverages as you wander about. Homemade pies will be auctioned off and silent auction items are available for you to bid on. If you’d like to donate a pie and/or silent auction items, it would be greatly appreciated.
All proceeds will be divided between “Nebraska Disaster Relief for Farmers,” and the local food pantries in Monticello, Belleville, Mount Horeb and Blue Mounds.

When we see news stories about fraudulent schemes that target seniors, we can’t help but worry about our older friends and family members. We worry that we won’t be there to protect them from making potentially costly decisions. We know that some seniors are easily confused. Some may be overly trusting or lonely and willing to have a chat with a caller. Others may be enticed by too-good-to-be-true offers and prize scams that promise riches that they can share with their family members.

At the Conference Championship, in order to earn 1st Team All-Conference an athlete needs to finish 1st or 2nd in their event and to earn 2nd Team All-Conference an athlete must finish 3rd or 4th in their event.
