New Glarus School District Facility Survey Results

The New Glarus School District recently heard the results of the Community Facility Study. The results were presented by School Perceptions, a company that has conducted over 10,000 surveys for schools and districts across the country.
Overall there were 654 respondents, which equates to a participation rate of 27%. Of the respondents, 71% said they would support the District exploring a referendum for additional facility updates, and another 20% said they weren’t sure or needed more information.

Belleville 2019 Road Rally Results

It was a cold windy day on November 2nd, but if you are a Road Rally enthusiast YOU DO NOT CARE and you show up for some brain puzzling riddles along with a scenic drive. It was a great turn out, with 28 cars and 130 participants, with only two cars (#28 and #24) not finding the final destination.

National Honor Society Inductees

Eighteen Belleville High School students were recently inducted into the Belleville chapter of the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students and selections are based on four criteria: academic achievement, leadership, service and character.

DHS Announces New Grants to Support Graduate Medical Education

Grants totaling more than $1.9 million to support eight Graduate Medical Education (GME) residents were announced today by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). The grants continue the state’s investment in training physicians in rural areas which research suggests significantly increases the likelihood of graduates remaining in such areas to practice.

Ecumenical Thanksgiving Worship Service in Belleville

Five Belleville area churches invite the community to share in an Ecumenical Community Thanksgiving Worship Service at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at the Grace United Methodist Church, 246 W. Pearl Street in Belleville.
Clergy and members from Primrose Lutheran Church, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, First United Church of Christ, Zwingli United Church of Christ, and Grace United Methodist Church will all be participating in the service.
