Sugar River Euchre

After what started out as a 4-point deficit at the completion of three rounds for the New Glarus Cheese Eaters, the match quickly turned for the worse when the Harley Blue Express opened the throttles and sped down the tracks to a 42-point win. John Scheidegger and Steve Thoni (Express) pulled 112 points up the hill for the Express in an effort to deliver what would be the first win of the season for the Express. Fellow teammates Opie Taylor and Steve (Huffy) Hoffmaster, after scoring just 2 points in the eighth round, added to the delivery with 105 points of payload.

No matter your perspective on such probing questions, here we go again as the 2019-20 WIAA basketball season is nigh upon us. The Glarner Knights will open the year playing host to the Blue Devils of Evansville on November 26th.
