Fundraiser for Belleville EMS Planned

On Sunday, November 17, 2019, there will be a fundraiser for the Belleville EMS at the EMS building, 480 River Street, Belleville.
Several vendors and crafters are expected, including Pampered Chef, Rings and Things, Norwex, Scentsy, Paparazzi, LuLaRoe, LipSense, Color Street, This & That, Magnolia & Vine, L’Bri, Rhoda’s Mustard, GS Designs, Mary Kay, Tupperware and Partylite.
The fundraiser will take place from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., and there will be door prizes. Come out and support your local EMS!

Belleville Police Department to Hold Open House

The Belleville Police Department recently moved into their brand new facility and are inviting area residents to come check it out. An Open House will take place on Monday, November 18, 2019, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., at 61 Frederick Street. A ribbon cutting will take place at 4:30 p.m., and refreshments will be available.

October Students of the Month

On Friday, November 8th, both Belleville Middle and High Schools recognized their Students of the Month for October. Mrs. Schmitz started the morning with a breakfast for the middle school students. These students also received Catty Shack bucks and the opportunity to put their handprints up in the new Literacy Lounge. During the lunch period, Mr. Perry invited high school students to a pizza lunch. BHS students also received a personalized certificate from their nominating teachers and movie passes from Marcus Theaters' Student Motivation Program.

The Eighth Annual Turkey Drop is Here!

Please join the Belleville high school and middle school students in helping provide turkeys to those in need so that they too can have a “Happy Turkey Day!”
Please help us reach our goal of 50 birds!! You can donate turkeys to Burreson’s or come to the corner of Main Street and Frederick Street (the old parking lot of Francois Ford) to drop off your turkey on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.

BHS Wins Academic Bowl

Belleville High School welcomed nine Capitol Conference schools to the November 4th Academic Bowl.
The competition opened with individual team members engaged in a total of ten written, subject area tests in: Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science; English 9-12 and Geography, U.S. History, and World History.
Each test was 40 questions in length. Schools assigned 15 of their students to these 10 tests. The total possible points in the written round was 600 points. Freshmen Annika Esselstrom was the lone BHS individual winner, taking the title in Geography.
