Grocery Delivery in Belleville

There has been an overwhelming community response to the Sugar River Senior Center’s call for volunteers during the pandemic. The Sugar River Senior Center is working with Burreson’s Foods to provide call-in grocery orders for delivery. We know this won’t work for everyone.
If ordering from Burreson’s by phone doesn’t work for you, the Sugar River Senior Center has another option!

Volunteer Guidance in Accordance to Emergency Order #12 - Safer at Home Order

Governor Evers issued Emergency Order #12 – Safer at Home on March 24th, which instructed Wisconsin residents to remain in their homes, except for performing multiple types of essential activities or for essential businesses and operations. Those leaving their homes should at all times, and as reasonably as possible, maintain social distancing of at least six (6) feet from any other person consistent with social distancing requirements.

Donations Needed: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

As of Sunday afternoon (March 29, 2020), there were over 1,100 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in the State of Wisconsin. Statewide, 13 individuals have died due to complications related to COVID-19. There are five confirmed positive cases in Green County.

LISA TSCHUDY JOHNSON

Lisa Tschudy Johnson, Madison, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Middleton Veterans Hospital in Madison. She was born on July 22, 1950, to Virginia and Millard Tschudy, New Glarus.
She attended school in New Glarus and graduated from New Glarus High school in 1968. Following high school graduation, she enrolled at UW-Platteville, studying for two years. Following her time at UW-Platteville, she worked at various jobs in Madison.

Resources Available at ADRC During COVID-19

The Aging & Disability Resource Center Southwest Wisconsin-Green County office (ADRC) has made adjustments to its operation but remains a resource for Green County residents. The ADRC is committed to ensure that those with a disability, seniors, caregivers and providers are still able to access resources and services. At this time, the ADRC lobby is closed but they are still accessible via phone, email and website during business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ADRC encourages people to leave a message and know that a staff member will return their call as soon as possible.

We want to thank all of the people who helped make our first Red Cross Blood Drive of 2020 a success. The 28th of February was a sunny, cold day and everyone was discussing what they were going to do when the weather warmed on the weekend.
