Saving Lives During an Opioid Epidemic

Opioids are a class of drugs that include the illegal drug heroin, as well as pain relievers available legally by prescription such as oxycodone (OxyContin), hydrocodone (Vicodin), codeine, morphine and many others.
Upon completion of the NARCAN training, participants will be given free NARCAN nasal spray and a resource packet to include brochures and crisis/support contact information.

Car Parade at the New Glarus Home Re-Scheduled for June 27th

Last weekend, due to weather concerns, the 2nd Show Your Support Drive By at the New Glarus Home had to be postponed.
The New Glarus Home Activity Department, along with the rest of the New Glarus Home Campus Team, want to show our residents how much their families and friends miss them during this time of social distancing by hosting a 2nd Show Your Support Drive By on Saturday, June 27th, at 2:00 p.m.

Monticello Lions Club Hang Flower Baskets

Flowers seem to brighten everyone's day, so the Monticello Lions decided to decorate the covered bridge that crosses the Little Sugar River with six flower baskets. Co-Chairs Lion Linn Lederman and Lion Mike Davis said that most of the baskets were generously donated by the Driftless Direct business, which is located at N6550 County Road N. Shown hanging one of the baskets is 2020-2021 President of the Monticello Lions Club, Linn Lederman.

Monticello Lionesses Donate to Green Cares

Monticello Lioness Treasurer, Nancy Elmer, presented Marsha Voss, a Green Cares volunteer, an $800 donation from the Lioness Club. Green Cares serves approximately 250 to 275 families per month. This would be about 750 to 800 people per month. The Lioness are happy to help out in any way they can.

Nine Students Receive Scholarships From the Dane County Dairy Promotion Committee

The Dane County Dairy Promotion Committee is proud to support nine local students through its scholarship program. The program recognizes students who are residents of Dane County and pursuing post-secondary educations in an agriculture-related field.
Recipients of the $1,000 scholarships include Eliza Endres, Waunakee; Lauren Henningfield, Cross Plains; Brooks Lueck, Mazomanie; Averey Marean, Albany; Jared Mickelson, Mazomanie; Molly Olstad, Stoughton; and Ashlyn Sarbacker, Edgerton; Taylor VonBehren, DeForest; and Josalyn Vorpahl, Belleville.
