Burt is Ready for Basic Training

The Ben Jackson Foundation is pleased to introduce Robert Burt. Burt is a recipient of a Travel Award and a 2020 graduate of Monticello High School.
Burt enlisted with a four-year active duty commitment to the Army. He left on June 30th for Basic Training in Fort Jackson, SC. After Basic Training, Burt will travel to Texas for Advanced Individual Training (AIT) to become a Combat Medic. When this training is complete, Burt plans to go on to Airborne Training at Fort Benning, GA, where he will learn how to jump out of airplanes.

Schwartzlow Reunion

The Schwartzlow Reunion will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Putnam Park, 6th Street and W. 3rd Avenue, Brodhead, from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass, meal will be at Noon. Table service, broasted chicken, ham, bottled water and hand sanitizer will be provided. Spread the word to other members of your family. No pool is available this year. Joyce E. Stephenson, age 87 of Albany, died Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Joyce was born on February 9, 1933, in Monroe, the daughter of Willard and Erma (Klitzman) Prisk.

ELIZABETH M. MEYER

Elizabeth Madeline Meyer, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at the Evansville Manor. She was born on January 26, 1931, in Troy Township, to the late Grant and Lucille (Marquardt) Waddell.
She married Gilbert Meyer on June 2, 1951, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baraboo. Together they farmed for 33 years in Primrose Township, Belleville, before retiring and moving to Evansville. Liz enjoyed visits from her family and reading books. She was a loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by all.
