Boy Scout Troop 106 Wreath Sale

Boy Scout Troop 106 is selling evergreen wreaths again this year. Several varieties of wreaths are available, including Cedar and Balsam.
This fundraiser helps Scouts pay for summer camp and other activities. Orders need to be placed by October 30th for delivery just before Thanksgiving.

Monticello Village Board Approves Purchase of Greenwoods State Bank Building

Recently the Monticello Village Board approved the purchase of the Greenwoods State Bank building on Main Street in Monticello. The purchase price approved by the board is $440,000. Although there is currently no time line for moving, plans are for the building to house village offices as well as the Monticello Police Department.

Montesian Gardens News

We have stored our hoes and shovels for the 2020 season and are most appreciative of donations to the gazebo repainting by the Monticello Lions, Lionesses, Gordon and Carol Schultz and Bill and Kay Dickson. The Potting Shed and Witt families provided beautiful plants and Harold Babler family memorial for the permanent brick planters in front of the gazebo.

Monticello Trick-or-Donate

Please help the FCCLA of Monticello collect non-perishable food items, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to donate to our local food pantry, Green Cares.
On Friday, October 30th, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., we will be coming door-to-door to collect any of these items. If you are unable to be home and would like to donate please leave in a bag outside the door labeled FCCLA. We greatly appreciate your support! Happy Halloween!!!

Belleville American Legion Starts Building Fund

Duppler-Smith Post 460 American Legion recently received a large donation from a woman from Belleville whose husband passed away a year ago. The man was a Veteran, and although he was not a member of our local organization, they have lived in the area for years. She wanted to donate in his memory, stipulating the money be used for a building renovation fund so our meetings and events will continue for the community.

There will also be registration forms available outside the Sugar River Senior Center. You will get your T-shirt sent to you (or you can pick it up).
