Student Council to Present Veterans Day Video

Due to the need to stay apart this year, the students of New Glarus Schools are unable to hold their annual Veterans Day celebration.
In order to honor and thank our Veterans, the New Glarus High School Student Council has produced a short video tribute which can be viewed on Veterans Day, November 11th, on the school district’s YouTube channel. Please go to YouTube and search for New Glarus School District any time after 11:00 a.m.

Helping Kids Celebrate Halloween

Members of the New Glarus Fire Department, New Glarus Area EMS, and New Glarus Police Departments filled over 500 bags of treats for kids on Monday, October 26, 2020.
The bags were given to the New Glarus School District to distribute to the kids.
Donors for the giveaway included: Karson Wenger Mowing, Jack Links, Hoesly's Meats, New Glarus Hotel, New Glarus Concrete, Brenda's Blumenladen, Kent Anderson, Dave Anderson Carpentry, New Glarus Police Department, New Glarus Area EMS and New Glarus Fire Department.

Monticello Felon Sentenced to 42 Months for Possession of Ammunition

Scott C. Blader, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, has announced that Justin Wenger, 38, Monticello, pleaded guilty and was sentenced Friday, October 30, 2020, by Chief U.S. District Judge James Peterson to 42 months in prison, to be followed by two years of supervised release, for Possession of Ammunition as a Convicted Felon.
