Lady Knights Secure #2 Seed

The New Glarus Lady Knights played at Waterloo on January 29th. With a 46-33 lead over the Lady Pirates at the halftime break, New Glarus went on to win the game. The final score was New Glarus 76, Waterloo 56.

Belleville Falls to Cambridge in Conference Battle

On Friday, January 29th, the Wildcats traveled to Cambridge to take on the Blue Jays. The game saw the Wildcats come out of the gate slow, which led to them being down 31-25 at halftime. After some changes in the locker room, Coach Pharo said the team came out with renewed energy and erased the 6-point deficit within the first two minutes of the second half. Unfortunately, the Wildcats were not able to keep up this intense focus and pressure which allowed the Blue Jays to shoot 54% for 2-point field goals.

Wildcats Break 100 Points in Parkview Victory

The Belleville Wildcats boys basketball team played at Parkview on Monday, January 25th. The Wildcats were up by 20 over the Vikings at the half. Belleville won the game, 101 to 72.
Trevor Syse scored 29 points to lead the Wildcats, while Carson Syse scored 19 points, Jack Erickson scored 15 points and Kaden DeSmet scored 14 points.

Knights Win Big Over Cambridge

On January 25th, the New Glarus Glarner Knights hosted the Darlington Redbirds. Down at the half by 9, the Knights could not stop the Redbirds’ offense and the visiting team won the game. The final score was Darlington 70, New Glarus 58.
Leading the way for the Knights with 17 points was Dain Walter, while Carter Siegenthaler scored 16 points and AC Strok scored 12 points.
New Glarus played at Cambridge on January 28th. Leading 45-17 at the half, the Knights won the game. The final score was New Glarus 79, Cambridge 51.

Grant Funds Awarded to Combat Weekend Hunger Within New Glarus' Students

Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP) has received a grant award for New Glarus’ Food For Kids Program. This grant award in the amount of $2,700 will be solely used to purchase food for New Glarus’ students.
