NGFD Drive Thru Kalberwurst Dinner

The New Glarus Fire Department Drive Thru Kalberwurst dinner will be held on April 10, 2021. Tickets need to be purchased in advance and the dinners can be picked up at the New Glarus Fire Station at 218 4th Avenue, New Glarus.
Dinners will include: Kalberwurst, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Swiss Green Beans, Dinner Roll, Cheese, and Dessert. Utensils available upon request at pick up. For more information about tickets check out the New Glarus Fire Department’s Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/NewGlarusFire.

New Glarus American Legion and Auxiliary To Hold Drive Thru Pancake Breakfast

On March 21, 2021, everyone is invited to bring in the 1st day of Spring by supporting your local American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary with breakfast! Each breakfast costs $8 and consists of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, applesauce and a beverage. The Drive Thru Pancake Breakfast will be held from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at the Legion Hall at 1121 2nd Street, in New Glarus.

Ag Scholarships Available

If you are pursuing a career related to agriculture and are currently halfway through your coursework in college, technical school or a short course program, you are eligible to earn money for additional educational expenses through the Monticello FFA Alumni. The Monticello FFA Alumni will be offering scholarships to eligible students.

Honoring Belleville's Farming Heritage

Would you like an opportunity to honor your family farm and support the Children’s Area in the new Belleville Public Library?
Internationally known artist Larry Schultz will be painting a custom mural near the entrance to the Children’s Area. Those who donate $5,000 to the building fund can have an image of their Belleville area family farm or agriculture-related business included in the mural to recognize our community’s farming heritage.
Donations or pledges must be made by March 31st in order to be included in the mural.

BEVERLY A. DOYLE

Beverly A. Doyle, age 75, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Beehive Homes in Oregon, WI. She was born on January 19, 1946, in Sauk City, WI, the daughter of William J. Blum and Verna A. Haselwander.
Bev graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1964. On February 27, 1965, she was united in marriage to Robert A. Doyle in Sauk City. Bev had worked for EZ-Gregory, Lands' End, and Duluth Trading. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling, shooting pool, and golfing at Edelweiss Chalet Country Club.

Blackhawk Technical College is no exception to this. As members of Business Professionals of America (BPA), students are provided opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge in career-related competitive events of their choosing at the BPA State Leadership Conference.

Herman Theiler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Theiler, is at the home of his parents, after being discharged from the Navy.
Kenneth Remy, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zuber Sr., has been at his home on leave from Great Lakes Naval training station.
Lester Palmer, Great Lakes, has been at the home of his parents at Paoli, on leave.
