From Tears to Smiles

Dear Editor,
My brother Butch passed away on June 11, 2021, at the VA Hospital. His visitation was on Wednesday, June 16, from 4-7. His memorial services was held on Thursday, June 17, at 1:30 - both were at the Swiss Church.
What an honor to stand in line listening, shaking hands and hugging all who knew Butch. He had a smile for each of us. It was great seeing so many who were his friends. I also consider you all my friends.

Help the Red Cross Overcome a Severe Blood Shortage

Right now, the American Red Cross is experiencing a severe blood shortage as the number of trauma cases, organ transplants and elective surgeries rise – and deplete the nation’s blood inventory. Donors of all blood types – especially type O – are urged to make an appointment to give as soon as possible to prevent further impact to patients. Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteers. By donating blood, individuals can make a difference in the lives of patients in their community and throughout the nation.
