Sugar River Euchre

With just three weeks remaining in the first half of the season, the Cheese Eaters of Sportsman’s Bar win their first match. It was obvious that Jones’ Plumbing forgot to properly tighten their fittings before the match as the score of 94 turned in by Tiny Zander and Ross Neshiem was the evening’s high score for the Pipe Benders. By the end of the night, the Pipe Benders were more than 70 gallons short of a win. Whereas losing only one game all night, Cheese Eaters Jeff and Bryan Buesser were able to store 112 lbs of cheese in the warehouse.

The Wildcats came out with good energy to start and built a 9-0 lead early in the game. The Wildcats kept their intensity on, but ended up getting into some foul trouble in the first half which led to senior Alyssa Caskey moving from her forward position to guard play for many minutes in the first half and also saw many quality minutes from junior Lainey Winkers which allowed the Wildcats to continue to build to a 32-15 lead by halftime.

New Glarus Community Blood Drive

Life can change in an instant. Watching a thrilling movie can get your heart racing. There’s not much scarier to us than empty blood bank shelves, though. Did you know blood can take up to three days to be tested, processed and made available for patients? That’s why it’s the blood already on the shelves that helps save lives in an emergency, like a hit-and-run accident, that can change lives in an instant. You can help by scheduling an appointment to give now at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive.
