GRAVES D. SCHMALBECK

Graves D. “Buckets” Schmalbeck, of Albany, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at SSM Hospital in Monroe, WI, after his gallant two-year battle with cancer. Buckets was born on May 3, 1931, in Wood Dale, IL, to William and Anne (Exon) Schmalbeck.

Wildcats Win Over Marshall - Next Up, Brodhead-Juda

The Belleville Wildcats football team played at Marshall in a WIAA Division 5 playoff game on Friday, October 29. The Wildcats knocked the Cardinals off the tournament bracket, winning 28-13.

Monticello Volleyball Headed to State Tournament!

On October 28th, the Monticello Ponies girls volleyball team played a third round WIAA Regional game against Central Wisconsin Christian. The Ponies won in four sets, 31-33; 25-16; 25-18; 27-25.
Ellie Gustafson had 24 kills, while Hannah Clark had 14 and Macey Grant had 5. Hannah Clark had 5 blocks and Kelsy Grant had 3. Jaden Zuber had 5 aces, while Hannah Clark, Macey Grant and Katelyn Eyler each had 3. Kelsy Grant had 39 assists.
