Sugar River Euchre

After a night of some lopsided victories, only two teams remain undefeated, Kleeman’s Hay Shakers and the Starlight Express. In the match between Kleeman’s and the Norsk Cowboys, Hay Shakers Jeff and Jerry Judd confiscated 112 bales of hay from the Cowboys. Cowboys Roger Olstad and Harold Schlimgen only placed 69 bales in the Cowboy’s mow (this week’s low score). The Hay Shakers easily had a 53 bale advantage in the end.

Five members of the Monroe-New Glarus swim team, all New Glarus High School students, competed at the 2021 WIAA Girls Fall Swimming & Diving Championship on Friday last week. Before they left town, driving through streets lined with supporters, the high school held a pep rally for them.
“We are so proud of how the girls ended this season. We had several season best times, as well as some personal best times. Even when they felt tired at practice, they continued to push themselves and the results of them pushing through paid off,” said Coach Rachel Root.

Give Something that Means Something

Life can change in an instant. Watching a thrilling movie can get your heart racing. There’s not much scarier to us than empty blood bank shelves, though. Did you know blood can take up to three days to be tested, processed and made available for patients? That’s why it’s the blood already on the shelves that helps save lives in an emergency, like a hit-and-run accident, that can change lives in an instant. You can help by scheduling an appointment to give now at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive.

Alternate Side Winter Parking in New Glarus

Alternate side winter parking began November 15, 2021 and ends March 31, 2022. This requires anyone parking a vehicle on a Village street to park on the even side of the street on even days and on the odd side of the street on odd days, which is enforced between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. This means you should park on the side of the street where houses have even numbers on the even days and vice versa.
