Sugar River Euchre

Another night of league play proved to be interesting. Cheese Eaters George Eichelkraut and Giff Hoesly reluctantly joined Don Field and Steve Dower in this season’s skunk club when they were skunked in the 4th frame by Cowboys Roger Olstad and Dave Willborn. George and Giff ended the night with a score of just 69, which was not this week’s low score. Whereas, Roger and Dave finished with a 113 points, this week’s high score. Randy Schmid and Steve Dower outscored their opponents by 39 to lead the Cowboys to an 82-point massacre.

Wildcats Do Well at State Meet

Saturday was the state meet in Wisconsin Rapids, where the Wildcats had two runners who qualified. Carter Scholey took a podium spot, placing 8th with a time of 16:52, and Alora Spiegel placed 64th with a time of 21:39. Carter and Alora should be proud of their hard work this season! It was a great way to wrap it up!
A big thanks to William Gobel and Aiden Campbell, who were an amazing support crew, and also thanks to the students and families who took the trip up to cheer them on, as well as the Belleville Fire Department for the escort back into town. We appreciate you!
