Lady Ponies Win Close Game Over Juda

The Monticello Lady Ponies hosted Juda on January 31st. It was a close game throughout, with Monticello coming out on top. The final score was Monticello 43, Juda 41.
“This was a good win for us,” said Coach Lori Brokopp. “It taught us a lot about being in close games and how to handle pressure and clock management the last couple minutes of the game.”
Leading the team with 16 points was Ellie Gustafson, while Dalana Trumpy scored 14 points and was 8-13 from the line, Katelyn Eyler put 11 points on the board and Karlee Wilkins scored 2 points.

Ponies Score Victories Over Black Hawk and Pecatonica

On January 25th, the Monticello Ponies boys varsity basketball team played at Cambridge. Only trailing by 5 at the halftime break, 23-28, Monticello lost some steam in the second half and ultimately lost. The final score was Cambridge 71, Monticello 43.

Badger Honor Flight All-Women Charter Flight

Although women veterans can fly on Badger Honor Flights, an all-women flight enables a tailored itinerary that will take these heroes to monuments, memorials, and special events specific to their military service, something that is not usually included in routine Badger Honor Flights.
