Spring Fling Classic Car Show

The Monticello Lions are sponsoring their 8th Annual Car Show on Saturday, May 21st - rain or shine. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, and tractors will be on display in the village parking lot and on Main Street. Yes, Main Street will be closed off to allow plenty of space for these vintage and antique vehicles to be displayed for everyone to inspect and admire.

Cops N' Bobbers

The Belleville Police Department and Wisconsin DNR invite you to join them for their Cops N’ Bobbers event on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at the Belleville Community Park, Shelter 1, 10 Bross Circle.
Children ages pre-K4 grade through 8th grade can participate in Fishing with a Buddy, and children 4th grade and younger can participate in the Fish Pond. Prizes will be awarded for Biggest Fish and Smallest Fish.
Lunch will be provided by UW Health Belleville Family Medicine.

Belleville Fire Department Fish Boil

The Belleville Fire Department is holding their 26th Annual Fish Boil on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Belleville Fire Station, 33 E. Main Street.
Serving times are at 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from any Belleville firefighter and at the fire station on Monday nights from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. The ticket cost is $17.00 per adult, and children 5 and under eat free.

The Green County Ag Chest is eager to announce the return of the 42nd Annual Breakfast on the Farm event. On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Sunset Ridge Dairy Farm, owned and operated by Duane and Jeanne Meier and David and Tiffany Meier, graciously invites you to join them at the farm for a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, homemade coffee cake, milk, coffee and orange juice, along with strawberry ice cream sundaes. Breakfast will be served from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Stateline Music Foundation Scholarship Auditions to Be Held

The Stateline Music Foundation is offering scholarship aid for high school seniors graduating in 2022, public or home school, who will enroll in a music curriculum in either a four-year college or a junior college.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., in the Freeport Art Museum, 121 N. Harlem, Freeport, IL.

CYNTHIA A. TWOREK

Cynthia Ann (Story) Tworek fell into the arms of her Savior on Friday, April 15, 2022. Cindi was born the daughter of Wes and Eileen Story on April 26, 1951.
Along with her brothers, Michael, Marshall and Aaron, she grew up in Janesville. Cindi married Robert Michael Tworek on May 30, 1978. They made their home in Belleville, Wisconsin, in a house that sits on the banks of Lake Belle View. Cindi cherished the sunsets on the lake and the wildlife that surrounded her there. Bob passed away on February 11, 2014. Cindi missed him terribly and was anxious to see him once again.

New Glarus High School Holds Junior & Senior Prom, ^A Knight Under the Stars^"

New Glarus High School held a combination Junior and Senior class Prom on Saturday, May 7, in the High School Gym.
Following Prom, a Post Prom event was held at the Kalahari in the Wisconsin Dells. Nearly 200 kids had signed up for the Post Prom party.

On Saturday, April 30, 2022, a Disco Night Prom was held for Monticello High School Juniors and Seniors. For the Senior Class, the King was Evan Rufer and the Queen was Katelyn Eyler. MAHS Held Museum Open House

The Monticello Historical Society welcomed the public to the Museum's Open House on Thursday, April 28, 2022, The MAHS Museum is located at 204 N. Main Street, Monticello. MAHS is celebrating their (2-year delayed) 25th Anniversary. The Monticello Area Historical Society was founded in 1995 by Marlene Schmalbeck. She saw the area's history being sold at auctions and garage sales, and wanted to do something to preserve local history.
