SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group Recognized for Efforts to Vaccinate Children

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and Green County Public Health are pleased to announce that SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group has just been named a “Big Shot” for their efforts to vaccinate children against diseases. The recognition is given to those health care providers who vaccinate 90% or more of their patients 2-years-old and under, based on immunization data collected through the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR).

The University of Wisconsin-Division of Extension is moving to a Regional Agricultural Educators staffing model across the state. These positions will provide research-based education to dairy, livestock and crop producers by assessing the needs of farmers in their region and design and deliver educational programming and services to meet those needs.

Ponies Track Competes at Cuba City

On April 28th, the Monticello varsity track team competed at the Chris Becker Memorial Track and Field Invitational at Cuba City High School.
“The Becker Invite was a tough meet for our athletes,” said Kim Becker. “We had quite a few personal records and/or season records broken.”

In the 400M Dash, Ben Collins placed 19th, while Tait Swanson finished 25th with a PR.
In the 800M Run, Ian Schwartzlow finished 13th with a PR, while Alex Roe finished 19th.

Raiders Track Competes at Lakeside Lutheran

On April 26th, the Sugar River Raiders track team competed at the Lakeside Lutheran Capitol North Quad at Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills. The men scored 135 points to Lakeside Lutheran’s 94, Watertown Luther Prep’s 52 and Cambridge’s 26 while the women scored 112 points to Watertown Luther Prep’s 83.66, Lakeside Lutheran’s 58.33 and Cambridge’s 33.

SR Soccer Wins Over Lake Mills

The Sugar River Raiders varsity girls soccer team played Lake Mills on April 21st and won, 5-0.
First half scores were made by Haley Thompson assisted by Riley O’Flanagan, and Anya Brenkman. In the second half, Paige Leonard, Jenna Gentilli assisted by Hannah Boldebuck, and Anya Brenkman scored goals, and the last goal was scored on a PK by Hannah Boldebuck.
Morgan Thompson and Skyler Beyer each had 2 saves at goal.
On April 23rd, the Raiders played a dual with Platteville since their quad was canceled. Sugar River came out on top, 3-0.
