Brotherhood Bringing Magic to Monticello

Tal Kuhns brings magic to Zwingli UCC as their Annual Homecoming Speaker, sponsored by the Zwingli Brotherhood.
Tal Kuhnz is a member of many professional magic organizations, SAM Society for American Magician and IBM International Brotherhood of Magicians. He is a regular performer at Monty's Secret Theater in Kimberly, WI, and won the People's Choice Award at the Houdini Stage Competition in 2019.

Sign Up to be Counted in the 2022 Census of Agriculture by June 30

Sign up and be counted in the 2022 Ag Census! Agriculture producers who did not receive the 2017 Census of Agriculture and do not receive other USDA surveys or censuses have until June 30, 2022, to sign up to receive the 2022 Census of Agriculture at https://www.nass.usda.gov/AgCensus. This once-every-five-years data collection begins this November.

Bombers Win Tournament Crown

The Sugar River Bombers Fastpitch 10U have won their third tournament crown, winning the 2022 North American Fastpitch Association June Jamboree in Janesville.
Sugar River went 5-0 on the tournament, competing against teams from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. Bomber bats were on fire as they outscored their opponents 39-2 over this three day event. Bomber pitchers also had exceptional performances, racking up 64 strikeouts to only 22 walks over 28 innings played.

Run for Fun Summer Track Meets for Kids

Join us at the Belleville High School track to participate in our summer program – Run for Fun. This is a program that all area youth (not just Belleville students), preschool age to entering 8th grade, can take part in.
Events that the youth may participate in include 25m, 75m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 1600m runs, relay, long jump, 18” hurdles and shot put. Some events are specific to the various age groups.

Albany and Paddock Solar Projects Get Green Light to Begin Construction

Construction is poised to move forward on the Albany and Paddock solar projects after state regulators gave final approval to Alliant Energy’s second phase of solar development plans. The 50-megawatt (MW) solar project in the Green County town of Albany will generate enough electricity to power nearly 13,000 Wisconsin homes and the 65-MW solar project in the Rock County town of Beloit will generate enough electricity to power nearly 17,000 Wisconsin homes. Alliant Energy expects construction to create more than 100 jobs at each project.
