Green County Cheese Days

Held on the third weekend in September in even numbered years, Green County Cheese Days is the oldest food festival in the Midwest, having begun in 1914. It's a celebration of cheesemaking, dairy farming, and the Swiss traditions that are deeply rooted in the heritage of Green County.
After being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID, Cheese Days returned this year with a weekend packed with family friendly activities, including a milking contest, the Cheese Days Chase, a parade, lots of vendors, live music, and of course...lots of cheese.
