Sugar River Euchre

On October 27th that horrific smell experienced in New Glarus on the 20th made its way to the Norsk Golf Club in Mt. Horeb, when Cheese Eaters Kohl Wegner and Jeff Buesser were skunked by Pranksters Laurel Grindle and Randy Cushman in the 4th game. As you can imagine, this didn’t set well with Kohl and Jeff. However, one consolation was knowing they would have a chance at revenge when they played Laurel and Randy again later that evening. In the meantime, Laurel and Randy continued to knock off one couple after another. By the end of the 7th game they were still perfect.

Run, Tommy, Run!

We remember those Old Westerns. Out on the lonesome prairie, the cowboys sipping coffee while the herd quietly mills around munching food, drinking creek water, until something catches their attention. A cougar yell, ominous storm clouds or the rattle of a snake; something sets them on edge. They stand as if frozen, heads up, eyes wide open, nervous and poised to run. Someone drops a pan or accidentally discharges a gun, any sudden noise and the stampede is on.

NGM Football - A Season in Review

Well friends, there you have it...a 2-8 season. Not exactly what first year Head Coach Schuett envisioned when he signed on, I’m sure. Of course, the naysayers out there are calling it a failure. I AM NOT ONE OF THEM!!
