<strong>How it Works</strong>
Dear Editor,
We are writing in follow-up to continued efforts by the School District of New Glarus to place the south entrance point to the new K-2 elementary school at the intersection of 8th Street and 11th Avenue. While the District has repeatedly insisted that their proposed location is the best option from a DOT traffic study standpoint, several community members have expressed concerns about child safety and infrastructure issues at that location and both the Village Board and the Plan Commission have already rejected that location.
Dear Editor,
Thank you to School District of Belleville residents who voted in the November 8th election. The School District of Belleville is pleased to announce the operational referendum question passed by a margin of 1,897 “Yes” votes (60.5%) to 1,240 “No” votes (39.5%).
On behalf of the Belleville Board of Education and school district staff, I want to express our gratitude for your support. We appreciate the trust you have placed in the district and the investment you are making in our students and the future of the community.
