Lady Knights Defeat Barneveld

The New Glarus Lady Knights opened their basketball season with a win over Barneveld on November 15, 2022. Up 39-15 at the half, New Glarus won the game by a score of 74-41.
Leading the Lady Knights in scoring was Lindsey Schadewalt with 24 points, she also had 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, while Emma Martinson scored 11 points, with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block, Grace Nommensen scored 11 points with 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, and Alex Atwell scored 10 points and had 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 4 blocks.

The Belleville Lady Wildcats began their season at home on Tuesday, November 15th, with a win against Argyle. The final score was Belleville 61, Argyle 31.
Addison Edge scored 17 points and had 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block to lead Belleville. Lainey Winkers scored 13 points and had 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal, Maddi DeSmet scored 12 points and had 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 1 block and Toria DeVoe scored 10 points and had 1 rebound and 2 assists.

Pre-Christmas Bake Sale at Zwingli Church

The Zwingli Women’s Guild will be hosting a Pre-Christmas Bake Sale in the North Room at Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Avenue. The bake sale will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Holiday Cookies, Bratzeli, Breads and many other goodies will be available. All cookies will be sold by the pound and containers will be provided.

Belleville Wisconsin Moms Community and The Baking Realtor Host Toy Swap

Taneil Boerner, with the Belleville Wisconsin Moms Community group, and Lindsay Koch, The Baking Realtor, want to encourage ‘new to you toys’ and are planning a Toy Swap from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 3, in the Community Room at the Belleville Public Library.
“Do your kids need a refresh on their toys?” asked Lindsay. “Now is your chance to drop off any unused toys and pick up some ones that are new-to-you! We’ll also be accepting toys for the Belleville Toy Loan Program.”

Yes, it’s that time of year already! We will again be offering tags with gift suggestions for children in need in our community. The tags will be available by Friday, November 18th, at the following locations: Belleville Chiropractic and Wellness, Belleville Hometown Pharmacy, Lingonberry Llama, Monona Bank-Belleville, State Bank of Cross Plains-Belleville, and the Bank of New Glarus-Belleville.

Santa Claus to Visit Monticello, Kids Can Shop at Santa's Workshop for Their Families

Santa Claus is coming to town!! Santa will make his annual pre-Christmas visit to Monticello on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Monticello Fire Station. While Santa greets the children there and hears their wishes for Christmas, his elves are working hard to set up a special shop for the children to buy gifts for their family members. The Workshop will be open from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m., for kids to shop before or after seeing Santa. Santa’s Workshop can’t happen without your help.

Santa Claus is Coming to Belleville!

The Belleville Community Club, with the Belleville Parent-Teacher Organization, will hold its annual Santa Visit, Holiday Gift Shop, and Book Fair on Friday, December 2nd. The event will take place in the C.H. Hageman Gym at the Belleville Elementary School. The Holiday Gift Shop and Book Fair will open at 5:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Santa will visit from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., and hand out treats to the children, thanks to the Belleville Community Club.
