Pioneers' Gentilli Honored by Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference

Junior Jack Gentilli, of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer program, was recently named to the Coast-To-Coast (C2C) Athletic Conference First Team for men's soccer.
The Belleville, Wisconsin, native led the Pioneers with seven goals and nine assists. His nine assists leads all C2C players. Gentilli started all 18 games for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers joined the C2C in 2022, as an affiliated member in men's soccer.
Gentilli graduated from Belleville High School and majors in Environmental Engineering.

Silver &amp; Lewis Cheese Factory Cooperative is Celebrating 125 Years

On April 6, 1897, Silver &amp; Lewis Cheese Factory Company was incorporated when the Silver and Lewis families agreed on a joint business venture. In 1963, the dairy cooperative was formed. Later, in 1966, all the farms that produced milk for the factory transitioned from milk cans to milk truck delivery. Today, Silver &amp; Lewis receives milk from 17 local dairy farms located throughout Green and Dane County. The herd size of these farms average between 50 and 90 cows.

New Glarus Village Board Discusses Entrance to New School

The New Glarus Village Board met on November 1, 2022, in the Community Room at Village Hall. With the acoustics in the Community Room being poor, most, though not all, of the board members used their microphones to allow the crowd to hear the proceedings.
