Winter Bingo is resuming at Duppler-Smith Post 460 American Legion, 2 W. Pearl Street, Belleville. Dates are Sunday, January 29, 2023, Sunday, February 26, 2023, Sunday, March 26, 2023, and Sunday, April 30, 2023.
Doors open at Noon, Bingo starts at 1:00 p.m. Cash prizes determined by number of players. Food and refreshments served.

Veteran Valentines for WDVA Veteran Homes

The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is asking for caring individuals to send Valentine’s Day cards to our veterans living at our skilled care Homes in Chippewa Falls, King, and Union Grove.
“While it may seem like a small gesture, these small acts of kindness can really make a huge difference to those living in our Veterans Homes,” said Diane Lynch, Administrator of the Division of Homes at WDVA. “This is a wonderful opportunity to thank our veterans and their loved ones in our care.”

UW Health Kids Seeks Dogs to Visit Pediatric Patients

If you think your dog has what it takes to help patients, UW Health Kids is encouraging dog owners to apply for the newly launched Caring Canines program.
The program is for volunteers and their dogs to make bedside visits and provide a calming influence, cuddle time and a feeling of normalcy for patients and families during their stay at American Family Children’s Hospital according to Katie Glass, Child Life Education Specialist, UW Health Kids.

Welcome Table Community Meal Returning to Zwingli

Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello is bringing back their Welcome Table Community Meal for 2023.
The last Monday evening of each month, join your friends and neighbors for a free meal and camaraderie. There will be a donation basket for those who wish to donate. The Hands of Change Youth Service Group prepares most of the meal along with serving and cleaning up afterwards, while the entrée is donated or provided by individuals or a small group of people.

Loras College has announced the names of students who achieved Dean’s List status for the 2022 fall semester. A student must earn a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours to be recognized. Nina Schiro, New Glarus, earned a spot on the list.
