Ponies Prevail Over Panthers

On January 31st, the Monticello Ponies boys basketball team played at Juda. Up 29-17 at the half, the Ponies trotted to victory, 71-45.
Jumping out to an early 12-0 lead in the first four and a half minutes, the Ponies held the Panthers to 17 points in the first. The Ponies then outscored the Panthers 42-28 in the second half to win the game.
Ryer Indergand led Monticello with 31 points, while Alex Roe scored 18 points, Jackson Eyler scored 10 points and had 12 rebounds, Nick Roe scored 8 points and Austin Skibbe pulled down 10 rebounds.

Christen Brothers Celebrate 40 Years

Christen Brothers Service of Belleville is celebrating 40 years in business! Owners Jeff and Mark's automotive business has been growing steadily since they opened in 1983 in a small two-bay Mobil service station on the corner of Main Street and River Street. A full-service gas island and one vehicle lift were all that were needed to begin what was to be a successful business for years to come.
