Beloved Belleville Teacher Passes Away Unexpectedly

On Monday, December 26, 2022, the Belleville community learned that beloved Belleville middle and high school Technology Education teacher, Ed Neumann, passed away while out hunting on Christmas.
Neumann had taught in the school district for the past eight years and was a two-time Project Lead the Way (PLTW) National Teacher of the Year, a PLTW Master Teacher and an educator that had changed the programming for students in STEM and Technology Education.

DONALD E. LOKKEN

Donald E. Lokken, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison with family at his side. He was born on February 13, 1939, at home in the Town of York, Green County, WI, the son of Ole and Myrtle (Swenson) Lokken.
Donald graduated from New Glarus High School in 1957. On November 23, 1961, he was united in marriage to Virginia ^Ginny^" Langley at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Madison. Donald worked delivering propane for many years with Madison Skel-Gas. He enjoyed photography

From our earliest years we are taught what to do and who to call when someone has a medical emergency. What our parents didn't tell us is that after we dial 911 and share the numbers of the address we practiced so hard to remember is what actually happens next. Unfortunately, in many of Wisconsin's smaller communities over the years the answer to that question has become increasingly unpredictable.
