On June 16, New Glarus police received a report of an accident near 7th Avenue and 1st Street. It was determined that one vehicle was unoccupied and parked during the crash. The vehicle in the photo above, driven by Darrell W. Millard, 89, Poynette, had backed starting from the 600 block of 1st Street and came to a stop after backing into a house located in the 700 block of 1st Street. Millard hit one parked car before coming to a stop. Millard was cited for Unsafe Backing. Police also completed a driver behavior report that will be sent to the DOT for review. Sue Moen photo
