Belleville Area Cares to Host Guest Speaker Dr. Louise Stanger

On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, Dr. Louise Stanger EdD, LCSW, CDWF, CIP - a clinician, educator, interventionist, will be a Guest Speaker discussing Parenting. The Forum is called “The Parental Toolbox: Strategies to Help Parents and Youth”. Belleville Area Cares Coalition, along with six other coalitions, is offering this presentation virtually through their website at https://www.bellevillewicares.org.
Dr. Louise Stanger is a published author, her latest book is titled Addiction in the Family: Helping Families Navigate Challenges, Emotions and Recovery. Dr. Stanger has also written numerous articles on varying topics regarding addiction, intervention, mental health, parenting, youth and more. One of the articles she will be discussing during this forum is “What Type of Modern Parent Are You? Helicopters, Submarines, Snowplows, or Saran Wrap - How Do You Parent?” Other topics being discussed will be Healthy Communication, Internet Safety and more.
During this time of COVID-19, the Coalitions and its members realize that here has been an impact on our community members mental health. From our youth to our seniors, we have all experienced something we haven’t been through before. Belleville Area Cares Coalition is presenting this virtual event in hopes to offer community members and parents some insight into this past year of changes and how moving forward as community members and parents we can have a positive, healthy, genuine impact on the youth of our community.
